New Dashboard Helps Close a Gap in Diabetes Care

A collaboration between the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence and the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology has shifted how Cincinnati Children’s delivers and monitors diabetes care.
The team created an advanced dashboard of key data measures that enhanced the ability of clinicians to track patient care. Soon after launching the dashboard, the team found a 20 percentage point gap in the use of continuous glucose monitors between privately insured and publicly insured patients.
