Evaline Alessandrini, MD, named next COO for Cincinnati Children’s

Cincinnati Children’s has selected Evaline Alessandrini, MD, as the next chief operating officer of the medical center.
Alessandrini, 59, will succeed Steve Davis, MD, who will begin his duties as president and CEO of Cincinnati Children’s on Nov. 22.
A pediatrician who previously worked at Cincinnati Children’s for 8½ years, Alessandrini is expected to join the medical center by January 2022. She currently is chief medical officer, interim chief operations officer, and executive vice president for UC Health, the hospital system affiliated with the University of Cincinnati.
Alessandrini first joined Cincinnati Children’s in 2009, rising to be assistant vice president of outcomes systems within the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence.
She received a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1984 from Marquette University in Milwaukee. Alessandrini earned a medical degree in 1988 from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and she received a master’s in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics in 1999 from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
