The American Heart Association (AHA) has awarded $200,000 to Cincinnati Children’s as part of an $800,000 award to four centers to fund short-term special projects in its new Health Technologies & Innovation Strategically Focused Research Network.
This funding is in addition to grants announced earlier this month and will focus on rapid technology solutions to address the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
The Cincinnati Children’s project will be led by Andrea Beaton, MD, and will focus on using point-of-care echocardiography as a triage tool to track ejection fraction for patients with COVID-19.
The Research Horizons blog features news and insights about the latest discoveries and innovations developed by the scientists of Cincinnati Children's. This blog does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
