Pursuing Equitable Health Outcomes for Cincinnati’s Children

Recent initiatives involving Cincinnati Children’s and an array of community partners have achieved measurable reductions in infant mortality, hospital admissions for asthma, and hospital visits in general, especially for two high-risk, low-income neighborhoods in our city.

But data also show that striking disparities in health care access and outcomes still exist. And a clear outcomes gap facing African-American residents suggests that much more work remains for reversing social injustices and achieving health equity.
