Symposium Taking Place Sept. 8 to Honor Hector Wong’s Legacy and Expertise on Pediatric Sepsis

The inaugural Hector Wong Memorial Symposium on Pediatric Sepsis honors the legacy of Hector Wong, MD, as a mentor, collaborator, physician-scientist and international expert. Wong was vice chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a leader in critical care medicine research who passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 23, 2022. Inspired by Wong’s contributions to the field, this symposium will highlight advances in pediatric sepsis research and will be held on Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Campus along with a virtual attendance option.

Information will also be shared about a new Society of Critical Care Medicine award that recognizes Wong’s contributions to the field. Find more details about the Hector R. Wong Award for Precision Medicine in Sepsis here.
